Justin Novak, CPA
Owner/Principal
Justin is the founder of Novak Tax and Accounting LLC. He earned his bachelors' degree from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN while playing on the baseball team for the Tommies. He began his accounting career as an auditor for CliftonLarsonAllen and held subsequent positions in tax return preparations, bookkeeping, corporate accounting, tax, and the private industry as a controller. He currently is a controller with a company in Eden Prairie, MN while he decided to start his own accounting and tax firm part time after becoming a Certified Public Accountant.
Professionally, he enjoys creating new relationships with current and potential clients, listening to the needs of those clients, and digging into the tax code to find ways to make sure his customers receive the biggest tax benefit possible. He has many years of experience with all kinds of tax returns ranging from a simple individual return with one W-2 to the more difficult business returns. He specializes in tax returns for real estate agents since his wife has been a realtor for many years! He is currently a member of MN Society of CPAs and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Personally, Justin has been married to his wife Jamie since 2015. They have three daughters and a dog. Justin enjoys everything to do with sports, whether that is playing or watching them! Sometimes it is hard to admit it, but MN professional sports teams are his passion! He just recently retired from amatuer baseball and will now look to use that free time with his family and golfing. He is also active in his faith as he attends Westwood Community Church in Chanhassen, MN.
Justin's passion as a CPA and business owner is to promote small businesses, encourage small business owners, develop accounting and communication skills/knowledge, and to promote the firm as a talented and ethical professional.
